We fundamentally believe in midwifery practices and support models that uphold high evidence-based standards, hospital integration, and accredited education

We also believe change needs to happen in out of hospital and in hospital settings to truly address the maternal and infant health crisis we face.

We aim to create a future where maternal well-being is prioritized, disparities are addressed, and every mother has the resources and support she needs to thrive.

We are not advocating for the prohibition of direct entry midwifery.

We do not support limiting the scope of practice of a qualified midwife.

We do not support limiting access to providers in a state that already lacks maternal care. 

We will continue to ask questions about current midwifery and birthing center standards to state regulatory agencies and to state representatives to ensure that a safe environment exists for families and the profession of midwifery.
